Bible Sunday – 25 Oct 2009

Mid Week Communion – Wed 28th 8pm

On the fourth Wednesday of each month (ex July and Dec) at 8pm there is an informal celebration of communion.  These services provide a quiet contemplative moment for refreshment, renewal and to receive God’s good gifts in the sharing of bread and wine. All are welcome to share in this worship, which will be in the Worship Area or in Room 4.

Wee Worship

“Wee Worship” happens on the last Tuesday of each month.  9.45am in the Church there will be a wee 15 minute service with simple songs, a story and short prayers. Wee Worship is for babies, toddlers, all who are not yet at school, along with Mums, Dads, grandparents and other carers.  After the wee service is time for soft play, toys and some craft activities, snack and time for the adults to chat. All finished around 10.45am.

Dates for your diary: October 27; November 24; December 29; January 26; February 23; March 30… and the last Tuesday of every month.

Welcome Back!

Visitors for the baptism, and a large number of folk who had responded to “Back to Church” invitations, and regular worshippers came together to fill the church this morning… around 200 including a good number of children. Comments welcome here on the blog or by email…

Sunday 13th September

Where do you go to get a glimpse of Jesus? On Sunday 13th, worship will be at 9.30am and 11am.  ”Sanctuary, Hospitality and Pilgrimage” is the theme as we reflect on the story of Zacchaeus – the wee guy who wanted to see Jesus…  but Jesus saw him first, invited himself round for tea, and transformed wee Zacs life.   Early Worship at 9.30am – Morning Worship and Junior Church at 11am.   Young People are invited to be in church for the first little while then there is an opportunity to leave for Junior Church activities in the Halls.  There is a creche for the very young.  You are welcome at Dalgety Parish Church.

From the beginning of September Worship times will be: 10am on the last Sunday of the Month; all other Sundays 9.30am and 11am The 9.30am service will be fairly traditional service, while the 11am will be more participative and family friendly, with varied musical styles.  On Sunday 6th September at 9.30am and 11am we welcome Rev Joshua Nyangulu and friends from Engcongolweni, Malawi.

Back to Church Sunday

Sunday 27th September is “Back to Church Sunday” and you are assured of a warm welcome at Dalgety Parish Church at 10am. See also: www.backtochurch.co.uk But you don’t have to wait until then…  From the beginning of September worship times are the winter times of 9.30am and 11am, and one service only on the last Sunday of the Month.
