Worship Next Sunday at Dalgety Church will be at 9.30am and 11am, when Paul Cocking from the organisation “Adopt-a-child” which supports children in Albania and Guatemala will be our guest preacher. Junior Church is still on during the school holiday. Children are invited to be with family and friends in church for the first part of the later service and then there will be an opportunity to leave for the hall. The Crèche is available for very young children.
This Thursday 8th October there is “Thinking Aloud” an opportunity to talk about mobile phones and how they affect communication, priorities, health and our ability to switch off… 7.30pm at 6 Forth Reach, D/bay.
On Friday, ‘theconnexion’ invites 11 to 16 years olds to chill out and relax with friends. Music, pool, table tennis… space to be. 7.30pm at the Church Hall.
Details of forthcoming worship and other events are at www.dalgety-church.org.uk – where the main site and blog have now been integrated. If you are not already on the E-pistle distribution list – please drop an email to mail[at]dalgety-church.co.uk (replace [at] with @ – this is to minimise spam mail!). You can also follow DalgetyPC on Twitter…
Thanks for all the support for our Harvest Appeal, I hope soon to be able to let you know by how
much we have exceeded the target of £5000 towards the Manse project in Engcongolweni, Malawi. About £12,000 is required to complete the accommodation but plans are well in place to reach the next milestone – to have the roof in place before the rain season starts. I spoke with Rev Joshua last week – he sends his good greetings to us all here in Dalgety Bay.
“Back to Church Sunday” was well attended with around 200 at the 10am service – and it has been good to see many back again since.
To those who will be away on holiday during the October school holidays, I wish you time for relaxation and refreshment… to you all I pray God’s rich blessing…
yours
Donald.
